Chinese Metaphysics is not about superstition. It does not aim to set our lives in stone. Instead, the aim of using Chinese Metaphysics is to help us align our actions to the current energy. To adjust our sails, if you will, to the prevailing winds.

In that, the underlying principle of aligning Heaven, Earth and Man reflects that core philosophy.

Heaven represents what has been given to us as decoded from our Bazi or Qimendunjia Destiny Chart. This reveals to us what has been gifted to us – our talents, strengths, weaknesses, behaviour patterns, and how we operate when left on auto-pilot.

Earth represents the Earth Energy decoded through Feng Shui. It is concerned about how well our living environment supports us, what energies are currently available in our homes or offices, how else can be better tap into those energies and get those energies working for us instead of against us.

Man represents us, the human beings who form the conduit between Heaven and Earth. We are the ones whose actions form the laws of Yin and Yang – the Law of Cause and Effect. For every Cause, there will be an Effect; for every Effect, there would have been a Cause.

When Heaven, Earth and Man are working in tandem, the results become more noticeable.

So now we come to the tricky concept of ‘Destiny’. Is everything pre-destined? This question leads to the most important question of them all: Who owns who? Do our Charts own us? Or do we own our Charts?

I prefer to base my consultations on the premise that we own our charts. We are not helpless passengers in this journey we call life. These energies are given to us for our use.
